SENDING FAX MESSAGES

The INFOMAX FAX GATEWAY provides fax sending and receiving facilities to all the users on a Local Area Network (LAN). A Modem has to be installed at one of the nodes which will act as a Fax Gateway Server. A user can now send a fax from his terminal through the INFOMAX FAX GATEWAY mentioning the Recipient's name, Fax nos. and the text file(s) to be faxed as an attachment. A FAX QUE MANAGER utility allows the manager to manage the queue by allowing him to delete any requests in the queue or retry or reschedule or modify the requests. A status report will be automatically sent to the sender informing him if the transmission was successful or not with the details of the transmission time, etc.

RECEIVING FAX MESSAGES

Incoming Fax Messages received on the Fax Gateway Node would have to be sorted out by viewing the contents much like the faxes received on the fax machines. However unlike the fax messages received on the fax machines, the fax messages received on the Fax Gateway Server can be routed to Receiver by forwarding by LAN E-mail to the receiver and attaching the received fax. The receiver can view or print the fax on his terminal.
